Summer Yukata

Hello, this is Chiaki, an interpreter.

I enjoyed lunch with my shiba puppy in a summer kimono.

We went to Wine no Mori which serves good Japanese and Italian cuisine in Sanda Hyogo.

It is near Kobe and you can see beautiful scenery there.

Here in Japan, we can enjoy lunch with our pets.

I love to wear kimono, so sometimes I go out in kimonos.

Today, I dressed up in summer kimono which is made of cotton.

And so as my lovely shiba, Izumin.

You can get cute kimonos for dogs here in Japan.

Asuka temple in Nara

Nara is known for the ancient capital in Asuka  era which is before Heian in Kyoto.

First, I visited Asuka village to feel ancient air.

Asuka was the capital in Japan before Heijou.

Asuka temple or Genkouji temple is one of the famous temples there.

There is the oldest  statue of Buddhaa in Japan

Sogano Umako, the minister, asked the emperor for the permission to build in 587.

It was made by 鞍作の鳥, kuratukurinotori.

The face of the Buddhaa is different from ones of Japanese famous statues of Buddhaa.

I spent the quiet moment in front of the statue for a while.

It was calm and relaxing time.

Hi, this is Chiaki, an interpreter.

Here is the photo of my lunch time.

Steamed ancient black rice with vegetable plate and soy soup.

Traditional Japanese dish is all vegetable and seaweed.

Radish, carrot,  burdock, tofu and so on. And no alcohol.

It’s healthy and also safe for taboo.

Hi, this is Chiaki,

I found an old furnace in the kitchen of the museum.

This is called “okudosan” in Japanese. Rice cooked by okudosan tastes very good.

This time, I only played, but I want to take a Japanese cooking class next time.

Hi, this is Chiaki, an interpreter.

After seeing the old wooden tower in Koufukuji temple, we visited Naramachi Museum.

It used to be a private house and shows us an old Japanese life style.

This is a kitchen where they still use as a cooking school.

Why don’t you try old Japanese cuisine?
