神戸イスラーム寺院

神戸市中央区山本通りの南にあるパールストリートにイスラーム教寺院があります。

正式名称は神戸ムスリムモスクといい、イスラーム寺院としては日本最古の歴史を持っています。

１９３５年（昭和１０年）に建てられました。

その後、二つの大きな悲劇が神戸を襲いました。一つは第二次世界大戦中の神戸大空襲、もう一つは平成になってからの阪神・淡路大震災です。そのどちらからも生き延びたのが、このイスラーム教寺院です。

建物はとても美しく、長い歴史があります。

港町神戸のエキゾチックな顔の一つです。

隣接したイスラーム文化センターではイスラム教徒を問わず勉強会を行い、広くイスラム基礎知識を提供しています。

この寺院の前にはイスラム食料品店もあります。

Kobe Muslim Mosque

There is a Mosque on the Pearl St. the south of Yamamoto St. in Chuo-ku, Kobe. 

It is Kobe Muslim Mosque, the oldest Mosque in Japan.

It was built in 1935. 

There were two big tragedies attacked to Kobe after that. One was Kobe big airraid during World War 2, and the other was Hanshin-Awaji big earthquake 20 years ago. Kobe Mosque, though, remained.

The building is very beautiful and has a long history. It shows the exotic face of the port town Kobe.

Islam Culture Center next to the Mosque holds study meetings to not only to Muslims, but to any people who wants to know about Muslim to get the basic knowledge.
