Hello, I’m Chiaki, an interpreter based in Kobe.
The most famous samba parade in the world is the one held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
However, many people may not know that we also have a vibrant samba parade here in Kobe, Japan.
On May 21st, I had the opportunity to join the samba parade in Kobe.
The team was produced by my friend Vanusa Santiago, who once served as the top dancer of a champion samba team in Rio de Janeiro.
It was an amazing experience to parade through the streets of Kobe with music, dance, and international energy.
Kobe is truly a city where different cultures meet.
If you are interested in international events and cultural experiences in Japan, you are always welcome to join us.
Kobe is also a wonderful destination for travelers visiting the Kansai region, including Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.
